Vision

Kickoff stub. This is the bedrock doc — the thing every product phase reads and aligns to (or challenges). It's status: draft until the kickoff fills it; a phase can't meaningfully serve a vision that's still prompts. Fill it, then flip status: active. Delete each prompt as you answer it.

The Thesis

What are we building, and what's the one-sentence claim about why it matters? (This becomes the summary: above.)

Who it's for

The primary user, named narrowly. What job are they hiring the product to do? (Answers Open Question §1.)

What success looks like

How do we know it's working? The signal that the thesis is true — not a metric dashboard, the one thing that would convince a skeptic.

Principles

The handful of guardrails that shape decisions across the project and prevent drift. Add them as they earn their place — don't invent a full list up front. Implementation details live in their home docs (features/, implementation/), not here.
